Relief from Nausea and Vomiting

Another widely agreed-upon benefit of acupuncture treatment is relief from nausea and vomiting. This includes nausea from a wide range of causes including morning sickness, chemotherapy, and surgical anesthesia (post-operative vomiting).

Johns Hopkins states that there are National Institutes of Health (NIH) studies supporting that acupuncture can relieve nausea from chemotherapy and anesthesia, especially when combined with conventional treatments.

Additionally, the UCSD Center for Integrative Medicine says that scientific evidence supports the use of acupuncture for the treatment of morning sickness as well as nausea and vomiting in general.
